Day 1 of Creation

Symbolism in the 1st day

1. And G-d said, "Let there be light," and there was light.
2. Here we see light is shown as white against the blackness of the void, but light here is also shown as the presence of all the frequencies of visible light – Light is both combined and broken apart into the colors of the visible light spectrum. The Kabbalists believe that the Light created on the first day of creation was not light as we know it; rather consciousness.
3. For only against dark can light be seen!! As the Ein Sof manifested, time and space were born in a spiral of energy moving out from the center of manifestation and is depicted here in this image as light traveling in spirals from out of the black vortex.
4. The spinning spiral of motion created the patterns of creation that
   emerged from the great void. Everything in the universe is created, from the smallest particle to the biggest galaxy through the spiraling motion which contains the golden ratio of 1.618. All of nature is marked with the fingerprint of G-d's hand, also known as the “Flower of Life”. Through the spirals of unending circular motion, spheres are formed. These spheres are found in every part of the universe and contain the Star of David, which is manifested through opposing triangles (two opposing equilateral triangles).
